Christmas Caring Campaign

"Hello, is this the principal? This is the CEO of the xxxxx Foundation. I was wondering if I could take some flyers to the kindergarten and distribute them." Whenever we receive such a call, the director will first find out about the organization and its motivation and purpose for raising funds. The end of the year is a difficult time for many disadvantaged families, so all social welfare organizations will launch charitable activities at this time.

Some give away goods, some help with money, and regardless of the way of caring, we all hold a loving heart and hope that they can be helped by kind-hearted people to get through their difficult times. Renhe has never lagged behind in caring for the underprivileged, and has organized numerous activities to raise funds, such as charity sales, flea markets, painting exhibitions, donations, and adoptions, with the flea market being the most frequent fundraiser. Donations were made to the Shui Rehabilitation and Intellectual Property Center, Genesis Foundation, and Huashan Foundation. The Family Support Center, Barrier Free Home, Six Turtles Nursery School, Food Bank, World Expo, etc.

During the 1970's and 1980's, Ka Wo Yuen had already started to take caring actions. During the Christmas season in December, Ka Wo Yuen initiated a fund-raising activity for the Ruifu Puzzle Center, and after the fund-raising activity, Ka Wo Yuen took the children on a baby carriage to deliver the fund-raising money to the center in Anping, where Fr. Gam accepted the money on behalf of the center, and interacted with the children in the center, and the children's sense of compassion was aroused when they saw the children's attitude in the center. In 1988, the 921 Earthquake shocked the whole country, and the Home and Garden was able to raise 100,000 dollars with even greater love and care.

Sending love to the Six Turtles Nursery School, organizing a parent-child tour, and sending the proceeds from charity sales and fleas to the Six Turtles Nursery School in Kaohsiung County to enjoy the moving songs of the Six Turtles Choir and the mouth and foot painter, Ms. Grace Yang, who was painting on the spot with her foot holding a brush. While painting, Ms. Grace answered the children's questions, such as, "How can you eat, take a bath, and put on and take off clothes when you don't have hands...how do you do that? Ms. Grace's calm tone and patience in answering the children's questions touched the parents who were with her, and some of them bought her paintings on the spot. Though it has been 20 to 30 years since the event, it is still vivid in our minds and hearts.

The "Little Picasso Painting Exhibition" was held, where children were the painters and put a price tag on their works, inviting parents to come to appreciate and buy them. Many parents gave back and raised a lot of money. The money raised and the children who represented them took a baby carriage to donate money to the Creation Foundation on East Gate Road, and the trip gave the children a deep impression of the plant people.

Although the process of caring for the children has been time-consuming and laborious, we have only one goal in mind: we hope that the children can plant the seeds of love at a young age, and we also hope that the little seeds can sprout and thrive. Although we have laughed and sweated along the way, we are happy to take the sweets and candies.

In order to keep our love uninterrupted, we have adopted two World Vision children since 1992, one domestic and one foreign. At present, both of them are domestic children, and we gather the love of the children in the park, and each of them only needs $20 per month, so that we can help the needy together. We hope that our enthusiasm will be supported by parents.

This year's Caring Action will also be carried out in the form of a flea activity. Starting next week, if there are items at home that are taking up space and are a pity to be thrown away, you can bring them to the kindergarten to raise funds for the annual food collection for the elderly who live alone, in the hope of gaining the support of the parents. We hope to gain the support of parents. "Everyone should do what is pre-determined in their heart, don't be embarrassed, and don't be forced, because those who donate with joy are pleasing to God."

Have a nice holiday. Peace and happiness.

Mandy
