The Nature of Early Childhood Education

A few days ago, my teacher sent me the happy news that an alumnus who is currently a fifth-grade student at the National Elementary School has been involved in academic research on insects, and his thesis has been published in an international research journal, alongside his doctoral students, which is such an honor, and an honor for us, not to mention our parents and family members.

Speaking of thesis, this is a report that only masters and doctors or professors who have been promoted to the next level or are doing research can publish, but for a fifth grader to have such an ability, it's really amazing to see. As far as I can remember, this child was a quiet, non-verbal child who didn't interact much with others, but he was very focused on a specific topic. With his bright eyes, he seemed to be observing and searching for things he wanted and cared about all the time, and preserving them in his memory bank. British physicist Stephen Hawking once said, "A quiet man has the loudest voice in his head.

Ms. Trillium shared that this outstanding alumnus was taught the "tea ceremony" by his father when he was in kindergarten, wow, the tea ceremony! Sounds very professional, something only adults learn, and a two year old is exposed to the tea ceremony? The Tea Ceremony originated in the Tang Dynasty and later spread to Japan.

The Japanese Tea Ceremony elevates the simple task of serving tea to a guest into an art form, where each move is completed in a strict sequence, and then the tea is offered to the guest to savor, demonstrating the spirit of hospitality. It's really not simple and not easy. My father has taken great care to look and think ahead, and to understand that the good habits and abilities established at a very young age are extremely malleable, and will be beneficial for the rest of one's life.

Who says that two-year-olds are incapable? From the moment they leave their mother's body, they explore the world with curiosity, building up an impression of the world and exploring it through the senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. Move things, move your body, and learn about the world The first thing you touch is your family of origin and its members. A child is like a sponge that accepts everything, good and bad, and the family environment and family education shape the child's attitude, habits and temperament. Children are capable of being treated and taught as adults. The child's heart cries out, "Mom, Dad, don't underestimate me."

Thanksgiving Outdoor Learning

On the day of Thanksgiving, we arranged a Thanksgiving Outdoor Teaching Trip, which was a happy and unforgettable event. The children, who usually arrive late, got up early and gathered at the park within the time limit. The children were all smiling happily and looking forward to a happy day of teaching and traveling.

On Thursday, we divided into four tour buses to go there. Under the arrangement of the farm, the children had some different experiences: riding on the small train driven by the duck grandfather to visit the park and duck house, listening to the tour guide share the flowers and trees planted around the area, sharing the habits of ducks and their work and rest; plucking radish in the radish garden; releasing a duckling in a small ditch, flowing along the water towards the other side, taking the duckling and exchanging it for a chicken; floating on the water, the farm utilized the big tires to make the water ride, which is not available outside, and adults can also ride it. The water ride, which is not available outside, is also available for adults, but unfortunately, only one parent was there to experience it.

There were ducks, geese, sheep and rabbits in the zoo. When we saw ducks piled up together, the tour guide said it was because ducks were timid and would be scared; there were also feeding rabbits and sheep with pasture; bubble pulling, the most experienced was bubble blowing, and the children liked it quite a lot as they had never pulled a bubble before; carousel was not so strange for the children, but it felt different as they played together; outdoor recreational equipments attracted the children to climb and play curiously; making leather eggs and salted duck eggs was explained in detail by an uncle, who shared how to identify raw and cooked eggs. Curious to play; making leather eggs and salted duck eggs, uncle explained in detail and shared how to identify raw and cooked eggs, raw eggs can be used as a gyroscope, done salted duck eggs to be put 25 days, leather eggs 15 days to cook and eat ... .... (The straw ones are leather eggs, and the red earth ones in plastic bags are salted duck eggs.) Each outdoor tour can broaden the children's horizons and areas of learning.

Children of this generation do not lack traveling experience because almost all weekends are parent-child travel days. Parents are willing to spend time and money to take their children out, traveling more than reading, and seldom staying at home. Children do not lack travel experience, but they lack the courtesy and cooperation of groups and teams, which is something they need to learn and parents must pay attention to in this age of childlessness.

Have a nice holiday. Peace and happiness.
