『親子教養篇』 童年的珍貴 游乾桂
Why is childhood so precious? First of all, there is only one of it, and when it is gone, it is difficult to pursue it. Many people regret or feel sorry when they become adults why they cannot remember anything about their childhood; if their childhood is devoid of memories of strong winds whistling, tree tops rustling, and green pastures for cattle and sheep ...... walking along country paths and wading through streams, then they do not count as having a childhood at all.
Secondly, childhood is the field of dreams for adults; if one can live to be 80 years old and look back, the most beautiful memories are those of childhood; after a decade or two of busyness, anxiety, and struggle, everyone wants to find a harbor to anchor in, and childhood memories are just that, a harbor, where one can return to one's childhood and retreat to one's own home for a few days, even if it is just for a few days; over the years, I have become increasingly fond of going back to Yilan and walking along the fields, lakeshore, and streamside. ...... It turns out that what I am looking for are the memories of my past, the fertile ground of my lost childhood.
Thirdly, childhood should be happy and not be stripped of its joys for a host of plausible reasons; it need not consist of a stack of examinations, with sadness between its brows and feathers.
Life is a marathon that relies on endurance, and there is nothing unusual about winning at the starting point. In a 10,000-meter long-distance run, the first 800 meters will not determine whether you win or lose, but you may lose your childhood as a result.
The fourth is that childhood is the fountain of wisdom, but it comes from play; child's play is not child's play, it is a great deal of learning.
But, in today's society, who is willing to play?
Childhood is inseparable from play. What is left of a child if he leaves play?
What's not to like about adulthood? If you take away childhood, what else is there?
In this regard, I can attest to the fact that childhood activities give me not only memories, but also the wisdom to solve the many tests that await us as soon as we leave the house.
I can give you many examples to show that play is not just play; many of us have played the game of throwing dragon's eye seeds in our childhood, and this little thing alone is full of ingenuity; first of all, you have to collect the seeds, whether you bought them yourself or picked them up from the ground, and wash them and dry them in the sun, then you have a toy; and then there is the way of playing it, and apart from the ways that the older children have created, we often have new ways of playing it, but it takes a discussion to decide on a consensus, and then the group decides that it will work, and then we can use it for a win-lose game. But it needs to be discussed, decided upon and agreed upon, and when the group decides that it is feasible, then it can be used as a win-lose game.
Have you ever fried cow shit? Don't snicker, I have, haven't I? It's a dirty business. A group of children, dressed in bright new clothes, wait for a cow to pass by during the Lunar New Year, poop, and one of them, who is not afraid of being dirty, lights up a "Mandarin duck" cannon, sticks it in, and runs away, and it explodes, spilling out manure in all directions, and the group of children scatters in a flurry of noise, and I stand there and do some calculations on the force of the explosion, and the shape of the holes, and then I use a different kind of cannon in the middle of a test, and I compare it with another kind of cannon. Different cannons, different insertion methods, different amounts of gunpowder, blowing out different holes.
Fortunately, I did not become a physicist specializing in rocket launching, otherwise it is guaranteed to blow up the village as soon as it lifts off. There is a lake near my home, with a gentle breeze, a quiet water, verdant mountains, wild geese, abundant fish and shrimp, and wild mussels at the bottom of the lake, about three to five times the size of the present one, but the lake is so deep that it is impossible to see the bottom, so how to dive in and touch it to the shore, and how to dive in and float out, with a one-minute time limit, is a test for us.
Relying on sight alone can not be, a group of children talked, came up with a way, we tied the nylon rope with a fishing lead, hanging into the lake, measuring the depth, find the shallowest, and raise the spirit to close the breath, plop! A sound into the water, a minute later out of the water, there are more mussels and clams.
老蚌生珠是真的,回家後媽媽剝開牠,好多珍珠便落了下來,那時候根本不知是寶,孩子們拿它作戰,左扔一個,右擲一粒,珍珠子彈很快便用光光,現在想起來,直呼可惜。
