Parent-teacher communication begins with mutual understanding and respect.

Spring has come, the climate has changed a lot, and plants and trees have begun to grow. Wednesday was Arbor Day, so we invited gardening teachers to come to the garden on Monday to prune the flowers and trees, so as to make the environment of the kindergarten more tidy, and also to let the plants grow again in the spring. After pruning, the air in the garden is especially fresh. Looking at the lush green garden, we hope the children can feel the connection with nature.
It's not just healthcare workers who are short of staff
Recently, I saw on the news that the shortage of healthcare workers has a long history. A while ago, the Taiwan Emergency Medicine Association issued a statement that a nurse practitioner had been working for 16 hours straight, which triggered a large-scale resignation, and recently I saw that a patient at the Third Military General Hospital in Taipei, who had been unwilling to open a bus scale because of his doctor's unwillingness to open a bus scale, had even used abusive language and attacked the doctor; due to the health care custodianship system, the treatment of healthcare workers is not in direct proportion to the burden, and there is a lack of respect. Because of the health care system, health care workers are not paid in proportion to their burdens and are not respected, it is no wonder that there is such a shortage of health care workers.

However, this is not only the case for health care workers, but also for ECE workers. Members may not be aware that the school fees of kindergartens are regulated by the Government, and the same applies to private kindergartens, and the same applies to prospective public kindergartens. Nowadays, with the rise in prices of everything, and the increasing demands from the Government and parents, the burden is becoming heavier and heavier, which has led to physical and mental fatigue, and the teachers who are willing to work hard in the ECE sector are mostly those who love children and have a sense of mission.

The Candy Incident That Troubled the Headmaster

This week, I was touched by a parent's message to a teacher. It is understandable that parents don't allow their children to eat candies, chocolates and other snacks, but when the child came home with candies, the parent was very upset, thinking that she had already mentioned not to give candies to her child, but why did the teacher still give them to her? So they wrote a message in the contact book.Do you ignore the reminders from parents? Or do you just ignore the instructions in the parent contact book?"Come and question the teacher.

When there are no words between parents and teachers, there will be misunderstanding. The reason for the candy was that a child in the next class had a birthday, so the teacher took the candy to share the joy of the birthday with the children, and the teacher even asked everyone to take it home and ask their parents before they could eat it.

The principal could understand the parents' mistrust and anger, and understood what happened. She asked the teacher to convey to the parents in the class that they should not bring candies or cookies for the children's birthday, and that they should not have such things for the usual rewards. The parents also mentioned that their children had some inappropriate imitation behaviors at home that they had not learned before, and that they must have learned them at the kindergarten, such as telling people to leave with bad breath.

Parent-teacher communication begins with mutual understanding and respect.

Parents are the leaders of their children's education, they have their own educational philosophy, and they are accountable. Teachers and schools cannot deliberately violate this, and they will try their best to cooperate.Children at school come from different backgrounds, they learn to imitate each other and inappropriate behavior is bound to happen. This is a normal part of the transition from home to society, and this is one of the purposes of coming to school, so that we can identify inappropriate behaviors and provide guidance to improve them.. Parents are encouraged to take the initiative to communicate with the teacher if they find their child's behavior inappropriate, but communication is not a matter of top-down blaming or unfounded accusations. Teachers absolutely respect the parents' initiative to educate their children, but parents must also respect the teacher.

Teachers are partners in parenting

Under the health insurance system, it is cheaper to go to the doctor, which makes many people treat professional health care workers as a service industry, or even as a punching bag. Patients think that if I pay health insurance premiums, my requests must be served and satisfied, but health care workers are not here to "serve" patients, and teachers are not here to "serve" parents. With a grateful heart, treat every service you get!The people.

Healthcare professionals are professionals who help patients regain their health, teachers are professionals who help parents give their children the right education, teachers and parents are equal partners. If teachers cannot even command the respect of parents, how can they teach their children to respect others? If teachers are so upset, would it not be easier for them not to teach at all?

Early Childhood Education Needs Respect and Recognition from You and Me
Nowadays, Taiwan's health care and early childhood education environments are particularly difficult because of the system. Early childhood education is a job that requires great love and patience to nurture children over a long period of time, and many early childhood educators are engaged in this job because they love children and have a spirit of enthusiasm and dedication. Parents are the main target for children to learn and imitate. Children can see how parents treat teachers, and they will learn and imitate.

For 51 years, Jen-Ho has been committed to the importance of successful education."Home and Family, Parent-Teacher Cooperation".I believe that all the parents who come to Jen-Ho recognize this idea. Sometimes a word from the parents, "Thank you for your hard work, teacher", can give the teachers more enthusiasm and motivation to lead their children! Sometimes a parent's "thank you" to the teacher can give the teacher more enthusiasm and motivation to lead the children. We expect parents to interact with each other with a partner's mindset, establish a good relationship with the teacher, and work hand in hand to build a good foundation for the children.

Have a nice holiday. Peace and happiness.
