Welcome to the 2025 New Year's Eve Event

As 2024 draws to a close, 2025 is just around the corner. In order to help children understand the meaning of New Year and the flow of time, we organized a fun-filled New Year's Eve activity in the school.

I asked the children, "Do you know what New Year's Day means? The children shook their heads and said no, "New Year's Day is the beginning of the year, and Dan is the time of daybreak," but almost all of them said in unison, "New Year's Day is a vacation! Their answers were very realistic and reminded us that New Year's Day is not only a holiday for children, but also a joyful vacation.

Newspaper GameLet's see who's the longest.

As 2025 is the Year of the Snake, we have designed a special game called "Tear the Newspaper and Grow the Snake" to welcome the Year of the Snake in advance. While tearing the newspaper, children try to make their own "snake" grow better and better. This seemingly simple game actually requires children to utilize their finger muscles flexibly to enhance their hand-eye coordination. Every child was involved in the game and the activity room was filled with laughter and enthusiasm for the game.

Although fewer and fewer people read newspapers these days, and even buy them for activities, newspapers and other paper recyclables can be turned into great materials for children's creations and games if they are utilized a little bit. This is the kind of resource utilization and environmental awareness we want our children to learn.

Balloon Firecrackers: Safe and Fun

In order to "simulate" the New Year's Eve countdown atmosphere, APT dance was used to open the event to heat up the atmosphere, and balloons were used to replace the sound of firecrackers at the end of the event, so that the children could feel the New Year's Eve atmosphere while taking into account the safety of the event. The simulated New Year's Eve countdown of "5, 4, 3, 2, 1" balloons were instantly blown up with cracking sounds, and the children screamed excitedly, which made the event very lively and extraordinary. In the midst of laughter, everyone bid farewell to the year 2024 and welcomed the brand new year 2025.

We also took this opportunity to share with the children the meaning of New Year's Eve - a new year represents hope, expectation and growth. Discuss with the children what they can learn and accomplish in the new year, and encourage them to face the future with a positive attitude. A new year is a new chapter, which not only symbolizes the flow of time, but also reminds us to cherish the present and look forward to the future.
