Objectives
Letting the ball roll includes actions such as throwing and kicking the ball, and being able to skillfully match the ball with one's own body to further the activity, which helps to develop the ability to adjust. Utilize the basic skills necessary to handle the ball and become more familiar with the game of ball handling. Setting specific goals, such as marking targets on the wall, to improve correct skills. In addition, the ability to follow the order of the game and to work in pairs develops the spirit of order and cooperation.

Preparation Equipment
  • In the garden, the walls that do not mind being soiled can be used freely by the children, or a wooden board can be prepared for the children to use, as shown in Figure 1.
  • Figure 2 shows that the starting point for four year olds is 1 meter and for five year olds it is 2 meters.
Methodology and Development
  • Figure 2: Children line up on the 2-meter line and the child whose turn it is moves 1 meter forward to play with the ball. After playing with the ball, they give it to the next person in line and go to the back of the line.

  • Catch the bouncing ball as much as possible and hit the target: Choose a triangle as the target and shoot the ball into the target, gradually increasing the distance from a close distance.
Guidance Notes
  • Whether you are throwing or catching the ball, start according to each child's ability and gradually increase the distance as you become more familiar.
