Often, we envy eloquent people because they can tell a good story. The story here is not just what we used to read in fairy tale books, but it is a synonym for the expression of one's own thoughts, and how to tell one's own story clearly is also a very profound art.
Developing storytelling skills is more important than you think.
"What is your dream?" It may seem like a simple question, but if a stranger were to ask you this question today, would you be confident that you would be able to fully express what is on your mind? Would you be able to tell your story clearly in words that any stranger could understand? How can you ask others to support your dream if you can't even articulate what's on your mind?
When you learn to structure your ideas into a compelling story and articulate them in a way that every member of your audience can understand and comment on, it may be the first step to making your dream a success.
It is not that difficult to tell a good story.
First, the opening exercise.
If you are a shy person, leave your shyness behind! Try to speak your mind to others, even if you have a thousand words and hundreds of good ideas in your mind, if you don't express them properly, they are just empty thoughts, no one will laugh at you because your stories are boring, and we don't need to care if there are such people. Practicing self-expression not only helps us to be heard by more people, it also helps our ideas to be seen by more people.
Don't be a bad boy, don't be a bad boy.
Don't speak too fast, too fast is usually not so happy, adjust the mood of calm and unhurried, and tell the story in your heart. The length of time is often not the issue, the point is whether people want to listen to you and whether they have listened to what you have to say. A calm attitude will make the listener feel comfortable. A long story is not necessarily a good story. Sometimes the reasoning behind the story is left to the listener to complete, which can bring more imagination for people to savor.
Let your expression be free of emotion.
Often we try to change people in our speech, but instead we use too harsh words and make the listener feel uncomfortable. We should learn to respect the other person instead of trying to win their approval, so that the storytelling will not be emotional.
Trying to think from the listener's point of view can be very helpful in expressing your opinion.
