Sometimes I wonder what kind of people adults are trying to raise us to be. I'm a high school student, but I feel like an animal in a cage every day.
We go to school five days a week, and with tutoring there are eight classes a day, making a total of 40 classes a week, of which, barring accidents, we have to sit in the classroom for 38 of them, while there are only two physical education classes.
I really do not understand why adults have designed it this way. From the point of view of a high school student at the developmental stage, I think this is very inappropriate.
Let me give you some examples. At school, I often see some of my classmates grabbing a ball and running to the court as soon as they hear the bell ring; sometimes we give up our lunch hour to play ball. Recently, it has been raining every day in the northern part of the country, and we even play in the rain after school.
Come to think of it, if everyone thinks that it is reasonable for schools to allocate class time in this way, then how can anyone be crazy enough to want to play ball in the rain?
I don't think it's meaningful to sit in a classroom all day, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; very often, I see that people are not able to concentrate. We're not statues. It's hard to sit in a classroom all day and still be able to concentrate.
In my opinion, exercise is not only a waste of time, but also beneficial to learning. If you can move your body well every day, you will not only be in better spirits, but also have a clearer mind, so that you will not have to listen to the teacher all the time in class.
I'm not just saying that exercise can help with learning. I've looked up some studies on the Internet that support my view. The University of Chicago has conducted a long-term experiment on nearly 20,000 secondary school students, participating in the program every day before the first class, you must first carry out strenuous exercise, such as running the gymnasium or three-on-three basketball bullfight, so that students in a short period of time to make the heart rate up to the maximum heart rate of seven or eight percent.
The results showed that students' grades increased dramatically and that exercise had a positive effect on memory, concentration, and classroom behavior. One day we will be too old to move, but right now we want to, so let's move more!
