A Message from the Director - Yu-Ayu

"Can we go to the grass field for soccer class today?" "It should be fine, but let's actually step on the grass to see if it's muddy." The teacher gave the OK sign and led a group of children to the spacious, green grassy grass field to take advantage of the rain break to play and kick to their heart's content. Under the professional leadership of the physical fitness teacher, this group of children who are not easily controlled and who are active and jumping around are orderly enjoying the fun of sports, kicking a soccer ball, and learning skills; and taking the opportunity to capture touching images of the children's silhouettes in the camera, and watching them progress more and more! Skills and physical strength, with the growth of the years, brings the delightful growth.
Shortly after the course ended, it started to rain heavily again.

Rain has been the most disturbing thing for us this week because we have camping activities on Friday and Saturday. Although it will not affect the activities (the earth activity in the Metro Park on Saturday morning will be held inside the park if it rains), it will be inconvenient, so parents asked if we should postpone the activity. It is difficult to guarantee that the weather will be good by then, because the weather report says that it will rain until next Friday; there are also the teachers' schedules; do the children want to postpone? There were more people who wanted the program to be held as scheduled than those who wanted it to be postponed, so what should they do? The children said they would pray together! So, everyone quietly joined hands and prayed to God not to rain so that they could attend the camping program as scheduled.

It was still raining, and although the children were looking forward to it, we as teachers were concerned about safety. After discussion, the director suggested that the program be held as scheduled, but only for one day, and that the overnight stay and the next day's activities be canceled. Although we decided to do so, we still needed to respect the children and let them understand the concerns of the teachers, and after a show of hands to reach a consensus, we went ahead with the final result.

The principal went to each class and told the campers about the safety concerns and asked them to think seriously. During the course of the program, each class voted twice, with Berkeley and Cornell voting on the first show of hands, with one day outnumbering two, and then reversing the vote on the second; the final result was 30-22, with one day outnumbering one; and the program ended with a campfire supper, snacks, and goodnights. It was a little disappointing, but acceptable.

Rain is a natural phenomenon that is loved and hated. It is inconvenient to have rain. It is inconvenient to have rain. It would be great if it can rain at night when we are sleeping and stop during the day! Next year, we should avoid the rainy season and hold the camping event in April!

Wishing you all peace and happiness

Mandy
