A Word from the Director - What it's like to be a mom

With the arrival of Mother's Day, the teaching design of each class is also related to the holiday. In addition to discussing and sharing, making love cards, pictures of mothers, singing songs, there is also the experience of being a pregnant mother for a day.

The children seemed very interested in this experience and found it fun, especially the boys. Some classes asked the children to bring an adult T-shirt, while others used their bibs as maternity outfits and stuffed inflatable balloons inside, turning them into little pregnant babies. Teachers reminded the children to take good care of the baby inside their tummies, not to let it be born early, and to be careful when sitting, standing, walking, eating, taking lunch breaks, and going to the restroom.

Most children listen to their teachers and take care of the baby in their tummies so that it doesn't get hurt; of course, there are also unruly children whose tummies are quickly lost and their teachers don't provide any more supplies, so the child is left to suffer the loss on his or her own.

Being a pregnant mom for a day is an experience, even when it comes to eating. The children protested that they would not be able to eat at the table. The teacher asked the children to come up with their own ideas and reminded them that they could change their normal eating habits. After a few moments of stimulation, the solution came true: they were able to hold their food in their hands.

Sleeping was another big test, and the kids were discussing with each other, "Lay down flat," "No, we have to sleep on our sides," "We have to sleep on our sides! "No, you have to sleep on your side." "Don't move around." "Don't get kicked." "Folding the quilt is the hardest!" They asked questions and came up with ideas one by one.
In the afternoon, there were fewer and fewer expectant mothers, so these kids who stuck it out to the end of the day were really something! After class, they were able to take care of their babies while riding tricycles, playing on slides and swings. Parents picking up and dropping off their babies at the school couldn't help but smile when they saw them.

It happened to be Potential Language Teacher Xu's counseling day at the kindergarten, and seeing the children's cute and adorable faces was very refreshing and touching. Teacher Tsui said, "In all the kindergartens I've counseled, I've never seen an activity that allows pregnant mothers to experience what it's like to be a mother. Teacher Hsu said that this is a great activity, and that only through practical experience can we understand how hard it is for a mother to carry a child and how inconvenient life can be.

The motto of the Children's Museum of Washington is "I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand". Actions speak louder than words, and being proactive is better than being reactive.

God has chosen mothers in this world to work with Him in the work of creation - childbearing - and in the work of molding - nurturing - how important is the role of the "mother"! She plays a continuous role in her child's life, from conception, to nurturing and caring for the baby, to adolescence, to young adulthood, caring for, nurturing, educating, encouraging, and accompanying her child, and even after she becomes a parent, her heart of love for her child remains unchanged, and it is a lifelong and unconditional commitment.

The Bible records that "a wise woman builds up her family; a woman of talent is a crown to her husband, and she is worth more than pearls.

May every mom become a talented and virtuous wise mom and create a happy, fulfilling, sweet and warm family.

On the eve of Mother's Day, I wish all moms a Happy Mother's Day!

I wish you all a happy vacation, peace and happiness.
