A Word from the Director - Bright October and a Little Bit of Good Fortune
In the old days, when there was no second day off, people used to talk about the glorious month of October. There were National Day, Taiwan Restoration Day, and the anniversary of the birthday of the late President Chiang Kai-shek, etc. In addition to the commemorative significance, people were usually very busy, and once October came, they were given some extra vacation days, and so everyone was happy to see the arrival of October. As I recall, when the Double Ten National Day arrived, the national flag was hoisted in every house, and kindergartens would organize celebrations the day before, preparing a national flag for each child and playing the role of each country.
