A word from the headmaster - Typhoon Megi is terrible.

Typhoon Fatty Meiji, with its fierce winds and heavy rains, hit the whole of Taiwan, with disasters of all sizes occurring all over the country, the most serious one being the burying of a residential house in Yanchao, which was swept away by earth and rocks, and the loss of a family member overnight. It made us realize once again that the power of nature is not to be underestimated! This year, three powerful typhoons came to Taiwan in September, Moranti before the Autumn Festival, Malakka after the Autumn Festival, and Meiji before the Teacher's Day, making it impossible for everyone to enjoy the festival and the moon.

Message from the Director - Thank you to everyone who works and serves us!

The strongest typhoon in history, Typhoon Moranti, swept through Southern Taiwan on the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, causing countless disasters and collapsing trees and utility poles. After the typhoon, families were busy cleaning up their homes, and TEPCO maintenance workers rushed to repair the project, but the speed of the repairs fell short of the expectations of families who were without power, and they complained incessantly, which was really difficult for them. Two places in Renhe were damaged by this typhoon. One was the half-built fence of the grass field, and the sunshade on the swimming pool.

In the past few days, as the Meteorological Bureau predicted that Typhoon Nepartak would hit on Thursday, the Education Bureau's official document signature website has issued several official documents about the onslaught of Typhoon Nepartak. Schools at all levels are urged to prepare for typhoons well in advance, and to grasp the meteorological information provided by the Central Meteorological Bureau and the typhoon's dynamics, so as to advise their students to avoid playing in water in the sea and the surrounding areas of the waters, and to avoid placing the relevant equipment, devices, and goods (e.g., official documents, computers, books, and electrical appliances) in places prone to flooding. Do not place related equipment, devices, and belongings (e.g., documents, files, computers, books, electrical appliances, etc.) in flood-prone areas. Prevention is to minimize the risk of disaster.

Parenting] Understanding Typhoons

What is a typhoon? Meteorologically speaking, a typhoon is a severe tropical cyclone, which is a low pressure cyclone that occurs in the tropical oceans. In a typhoon in the Northern Hemisphere, the winds near the surface turn counterclockwise around the center of the typhoon and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere. As for the origin of the name "typhoon", it is generally believed to have evolved from the Cantonese word "gale", but according to Prof. Lin Shao-hao, it may have evolved from the Minnan word "wind sifting".

Message from the Director - Programs and Changes

Planning really can't keep up with change! With the end of the semester approaching and an event coming up on Saturday, what was originally scheduled for Wednesday has changed due to the city government's announcement of class closures and suspension of classes as Typhoon Madame hit Taiwan. Although there was a TV report about the typhoon, I thought that Tainan would not be affected by the typhoon as it was coming from Huadong. However, it turned out to be a heart-piercing typhoon, and the county and municipal governments dared not be careless and suspended classes and classes all over Taiwan, taking the lives and properties of the people as the most important consideration.

Parenting] Causes of Typhoons

In the tropical oceans, the sea surface is subjected to direct sunlight and the temperature of the sea water rises, the sea water is easily evaporated into water vapor spread in the air, so the air on the tropical oceans has high temperature and high humidity, this air expands due to the high temperature, resulting in the density of the density decreases and the mass decreases, and winds near the equator are weak, so it is very easy to rise, convection occurs, and at the same time, the surrounding colder air flows in to replenish, and then rises, and so on and so forth. In the end, the whole air column will be warmer and lighter,
