The beautiful Wushulin Sugar Factory, built in 1910 (Meiji 43), was once a well-known sugar producer, and the Wushulin Station under its jurisdiction also served as the hub of the five-minute railroad connection between Houbi, Baihe, Dongshan, and Xinying Metropolis in early Tainan County, and was used by the Japanese Imperial Family in the Japanese colonial period for the excellent quality and unique flavor of the sugar it produced, earning it the title of "Imperial Sugar". In 1983, the Ushurin Sugar Factory was closed due to business considerations.
