Renhe Story September 18

In order to be on time at 8:30 a.m., last Sunday (9/13), I met up with Ms. Shujuan and Ms. Chunsil at the kindergarten at 6:15 a.m. and drove to Toyohara Jinguoka at 6:30 a.m. to participate in the study. The schedule of the day was quite tight, with two experienced principals sharing their theories and practices for children from 2 to 6 years old, and providing not only written materials but also video recordings for reference. After the whole day's program, although I was physically tired, I gained a lot from the program, and I was able to review myself and remind myself of my shortcomings and the areas that need to be strengthened or improved.
Teachers shared that good habits are very important and must be started at an early age, that is, after the child is born. The focus of an infant's life is to sleep, eat, and play at regular intervals, and adjustments should be made as time goes by. If there are no principles at the beginning, parents will have a hard time. When I saw a video of a one-and-a-half year old child organizing his or her school bag, putting things away, and doing everything by himself or herself, I was so touched that the child could do it, only that too much consideration and reluctance on the part of adults deprived them of the opportunity to learn how to do it, and once the habit was formed, he or she became lazy and didn't want to do it, and the older they got, the harder it was to teach them and the more difficult it was to change them. When they enter kindergarten after the age of three, many of their habits have already been developed and to change them, they must spend more time and effort to teach them, and parents and teachers will have a hard time.
We all want our children to grow in all aspects over time, be it physical development, emotional development and intellectual development. Children learn through their senses - sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, that is, eyes to see, ears to hear, nose to smell, mouth to taste, hands to touch, etc. In addition to the environment, the people, things, and objects around them are the object of children's learning and imitation, so we must pay close attention to every little detail, or a word, a gesture, do not neglect, if you think that the child is still young, it does not matter, the child will mistakenly think that nothing matters. If you think your child is still young and it doesn't matter, your child will mistakenly think that everything is okay.
Reading is actually a good habit to develop. This year, the Tainan Municipal Library hosted the Ministry of Education's "Bookstart Reading Activity Program" and officially launched the "Bookstart Reading" campaign, which represents Taiwan's characteristics. For infants and toddlers between the ages of 0 and 3 years old who are based in Tainan City, a free reading gift bag was given to them. Each gift bag includes 2 selected picture books, baby's first book list, instructions, and a parent's handbook...etc. The gift bags allow parents of infants and toddlers to learn more about reading from the program. Parents of infants and toddlers can understand the learning process of infants and toddlers from the program, and learn to make good use of library and Internet resources to provide the most appropriate reading and learning guidance for their children at different stages, thus cultivating the reading habit of infants and toddlers from an early age. This message was reported in Renhe Story, I don't know if parents have noticed it? Mandy didn't miss this opportunity to make good use of the resources and helped her granddaughter in the U.S. to get a gift bag, in order to learn more about it.
Reading is an ability and a habit that needs to be cultivated and practiced. Only when you can read can you have material for thinking; only when you know how to read can you write well. Reading starts at a young age, at home, at the age of zero.
The development of reading literacy requires the cooperation of the environment-family, school, and community. The kindergarten has a library, a reading corner in the classroom, and a reading area in the activity room. Not only that, this year, in order to strengthen the importance of parent-child co-reading, the number of books borrowed once a week has been increased to twice a week, and more books are placed in the activity room at any time for parents and children to pick up and read; Thursday mornings from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m., we have arranged for a reading time!
The
Having a good reading habit can be the best tool for lifelong learning, living and survival.
Wishing you peace and happiness, Mandy.
