From the Director - Summer Vacation bye bye

Soon, the summer life camp ended today (8/26) with the passage of time. Looking back on the four weeks of summer life, it was both fulfilling and enjoyable, colorful and varied. I remember the preparations before the summer classes. We thought that the naming of the class was very important and we couldn't just give it a name. We talked about the price of gold and reached a consensus to name the class after jewelry and other precious things: diamonds, pearls, gold, and crystals; Mandy spent a lot of time designing and arranging the location for the class before the end of June; and the theme of the class was "Amazing Museums, Art Museums, and Children's Museum G", The themes - Museum of Amazing, Museum of Art, Children's Museum Go - were chosen to match the location of the tour.



Ask your child, "Are you happy today?" "Yes!" "What were you happy about?" "Swimming, physical fitness, playing, going on a field trip..." Haha! ～Playing is really the children's favorite! A former teacher of the Central Teacher's College, Ms. Chen Suhua, once translated a quote: "You asked me what I am learning today. Please don't misunderstand me when I answer, "I'm just playing", because I'm learning how to make myself successful and happy by playing, and I'm making the best preparation for tomorrow. Today I am a child and my job is to play." If only classroom learning could be as engaging as the playground at every stage of life, how wonderful!

Yes, it is! We have all been children before, and we understand the heart of children, and we hope to give them a happy childhood. The founder, Mr. Hong Nanhai, has planned the kindergarten in the spirit of Mr. Philip Bell's good gardener, providing a rich learning environment in the spacious garden, full of flowers and plants, so that children can breathe fresh air and the natural breeze every day, observe the fish in the ecological pond, butterflies flying and sucking honey, climbing and jumping, and use the sensory intelligence of sports to improve the development of the body's kinetic energy and intelligence, and to learn and grow in the midst of play.

To understand children, we should take their hearts as our hearts. The National Museum of Taiwan History arranges four places to visit: the National Taiwan Museum of History - to learn about children's play and play with childhood - hopscotch, making paper boats, paper cannons, playing bamboo musical instruments, playing marbles, and sitting in straw baskets; the Gomez Museum and the Children's Museum - to visit a paper house - a one-person house, and to experience operating the various learning aids and equipment in the Children's Museum; the Butterfly Garden of Alexander University - to feed the goats, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and to appreciate the butterfly's ecology and specimens, and to listen to the sound of the sea shell and search for shells; the Children's Museum, where all the equipment can be played with and operated - there is a dark maze, a life play area, a sack play, and a search for shells. Under the guidance of the teachers, the children visited, learned, operated and experienced in different areas, and had a great time. Under the leadership of the teachers, the children grow in wisdom and knowledge, and lead a regular vacation life, enriching their life experience and making them stronger. The children in Kindergarten will become freshmen next week, while the children in Intermediate Class will be promoted to Kindergarten, Kindergarten to Intermediate Class, and Kindergarten to Primary Class. The children have grown up through the baptism of time, and have become more sensible, independent, and self-confident. In the new school year, they will embark on different learning experiences, accumulating knowledge, wisdom and experience, and building up good character and attitudes. We would like to congratulate the children, especially the Kindergarteners, and hope that their future life in elementary school will be a happy one, and we welcome them to come back to the kindergarten to share their learning experiences with us, Renhe will always love you.

During the Summer Life Camp, we saw many children's delightful growth and transformation. Some of the newcomers, who were shy, cried, pouted, and refused to stay at the kindergarten alone, gradually learned to be independent, and even without their parents, they were able to get used to kindergarten life with the help of their teachers, and even made many new friends. However, there are still a few children who need more time to grow up.

"Independence" is a very big challenge for young children. There is a lot of inner struggle for them, and they face unfamiliar people, things, and objects with a lot of expectation and fear, and a lot of worry and fear; they have to adapt, explore, and observe to find out the difference between kindergarten and home. This experience is a necessary part of learning and growing up, and of course requires adult companionship, support and encouragement.

In fact, there are many differences between home and kindergarten, such as the environment, equipment, people, work and rest, and food. Because there are so many differences, they are scared and fearful, and they express their uneasiness by crying. Sometimes parents think that their children have been going to school for a month or two and are still crying, so they lose patience and confidence, and even compare their children to others. For pre-school children between the ages of 2 and 5, this is a heavy pressure because every child is unique and cannot be compared, which is not helpful, but rather will make them even more withdrawn.

Human beings should learn continuously in life, adjust themselves, reserve energy, grow and train themselves to adapt to this changing society and era. Kindergarten is an introductory school for children. It is very important for children to cultivate interpersonal relationships, learn to live in a group, and develop self-independence and social skills. Looking at the cab at the end of June, her younger sister, the lovely Chien-Wen, who turned three in mid-October, has finally grown up through the baptism of time, her own efforts, and the guidance, companionship, encouragement, and waiting of her teachers, parents, and older brothers, and her teachers and practicing sisters are all very happy!

Next Thursday to September 1 will be the first day of the new semester. While there are no classes for a few days, there are a lot of preparations to be made for the start of the semester, such as disinfecting the campus, repairing the equipment, organizing the classrooms, and preparing for the classes, etc. I am afraid that I won't have enough time, so I may have to work overtime on the Saturday or Sunday of next week!
