Message from the Director

After the end of the semester on July 30, we held a final work review meeting on July 31, focusing on teaching, teaching materials, assessment books, activities, work and rest arrangements, as well as various childcare advocacy work, one by one to do the discussion, although it took some time, but the review, introspection is necessary, through the actual teaching of the teachers to lead, the effectiveness of the learning process to do the feedback, the good continue to be retained, and need to be strengthened, improved or revised, then adjusted. We will make adjustments as necessary.

In addition to the final review meeting, we also held a summer school preparatory meeting on August 1 and 2 to organize the classrooms and prepare for various tasks. Since the Summer Life Camp allows parents to decide the number of days their children will be attending, it took some time to organize and the administrative work beforehand was time-consuming.

Some parents of new students ask: some kindergartens have already started school in August, why does Renhe make such an arrangement? In fact, the point to think about is to stand on the position of parents, children and teachers; if we take the position of the kindergarten, of course, it is best not to have a vacation, because the income will be reduced after the vacation, but the various expenses will not be reduced, the biggest expense is the personnel costs, the staff's salary will not be discounted because of the reduction of the number of students during the vacation.

Another thing to think about is that it would be nice to have a lighter work day in the hot month of August. Also, parents often take a week or two off from school to pay for a trip with their children, and are not happy with the Education Bureau's refundable meal plan fee. (Taiwan also requires a refund for meals, but the U.S. doesn't even refund a dime.) For many reasons, the principal decided to allow parents to choose the number of days of school in August to avoid any unpleasantness over payment, but only in August, and in the other months, if you take a vacation of more than one week, you can only get a refund of the meal fee, and there is no refund if it's less than one week.

The first week of Summer School coincided with Dad's Day, so the Nursery organized a special celebration party and invited dads to come to the Nursery. There were eight fathers and one father's father, making a total of nine fathers. Under the guidance of Ms. Lai Kuen and Ms. Wen Lu, the children played hula hoops, games and costumes. The children showed their creativity and the dads were very cooperative.

At the end of the day, we were asked to fry eggs in the kitchen, but it wasn't hard for everyone to do so, they all did their best, and Papa's Papa, Grandpa, made a different kind of egg, ending the celebration in joy.
