A Word from the Director - Graduation Camping Tiny World Football Tournament

The annual camping program started last Friday morning with great anticipation from the children. From the beginning of the program, which started with the Little World Cup after the opening ceremony, the children were excitedly immersed in the joyful atmosphere and enjoyed the program to the fullest. Taking advantage of the quadrennial World Football Championship and the wave of soccer madness around the world, the Little World Football Championship was organized from the very beginning, so that even though children could not go to the World Football Championship live and could not watch the game in the middle of the night, they could still experience and enjoy the game.

Parenting] Learning to Cooperate

A man was talking to God about heaven and hell. God said to him, "Come on! I'll show you what hell is." They went into a room. There was a group of people around a big pot of broth, but everyone looked ugly and skinny. Each of them had a spoon to reach the pot, but the handles of the spoons were longer than their arms and they could not get the soup into their mouths. They can't get the soup into their mouths, and they can't get the soup into their stomachs. They could only sigh at the "soup" and could do nothing about it. "Come on! I'll do it again.

A Word from the Head of the Park - Drought Rain

After a long drought with no rain and a long period of hot weather, it finally rained last Monday. I asked the children, "Is it good that it rained? Some said yes, some said no, for different reasons. "I can't go out to play," "because there is no water to drink, no water to bathe, no water to cook, no water in the reservoirs..." Lack of water in the reservoirs is a very serious matter, just like the lack of water in the water tower of our home, which causes a lot of inconvenience in our lives, and of course, it can also jeopardize our lives. Most of the small

Parenting] Plum Rain

Meiyu, also known as Yellow Plum Blossom Day, refers to the rain that falls on the fronts of hot and cold air at the turn of spring and summer, i.e., the natural climate phenomenon of persistent cloudy skies with rain in Central China, Taiwan, south-central Japan, and southern Korea between May and June every year. After the Meiyu season, the weather in central China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan is dominated by the Pacific High Pressure and officially enters the hot summer season. The rainy season occurs during the ripening period of plums in Jiangnan, and the prolonged rains cause clothing

Message from the Director - Mother Tongue Teaching and Dragon Boat Festival

"Hello, I'm Yen-Chi Wu, and my name is KFC..." (Taiwanese) "Hello, I'm Yen-Chi Wang from Pipe..." (Taiwanese) Wednesday's Taiwanese Storytelling Contest saw the Washington family and the Berkeley family send two of their own "之", and their introductions to the stage were so impressive, it's hard to not remember them! Each of the Upper and Middle School classes sent two participants, and there was only one participant from Mozart. Each participant came prepared and was able to speak fluently when they took the stage.

Parenting: Taiwan's native mother tongue is on the brink of extinction, can it be passed on to future generations?

Not long ago, John McWhorter, a professor of linguistics at Columbia University, wrote an article in the Wall Street Journal predicting that by the year 2115, the number of languages on earth will be drastically reduced from the current 6,000 to 600, and that 90 percent of the languages will have disappeared in 100 years, with one language disappearing almost every week! McWhorter's prediction really makes us wonder whether the languages of Taiwan's aboriginal people, and even Foochow and Hakka, will disappear in the future.

A Message from the Principal - We Need Your Help to Prevent Enteroviruses

Last Saturday night, we went to the Holiday Plaza of the Cultural Center to enjoy the presentation of the achievements of the dance class of Sun Yat-sen Junior High School. With the sky as the curtain, the ground as the seats, and professional sound and lighting set up, the audience was filled with parents and members of the public, and more than seventy students from three grades performed in the show. The program was rich and diversified, with a variety of dances, including folk dance, ballet, modern dance, folk dance, and so on... All the songs were wonderful, and all of them were moving, and the superb dance skills, the performances were remarkable, and they also demonstrated the spirit of teamwork.

A word from the principal - learn to put yourself in the other person's shoes.

While we were still discussing the topic of accident safety with our children, the news broadcasted two horrific cases that shocked the community and gave people the creeps. In one of the cases, the murderer treated the victim with extreme brutality, and it was hard to guess why he did such a thing, and did such a heinous thing. Was it a moment of impulse and anger? Or was it ....... The victims were all women, while the murderer was a boy, a familiar face and an intellectual. When men and women quarrel to the point of fighting

Parenting] Love and Discipline

Parent-child relationship has always been an important issue in modern society! Modern society is changing rapidly. Democracy and freedom have brought about a high degree of autonomy in children, but if this autonomy is not accompanied by a sense of responsibility and respect for others, modern children's over-indulgence in autonomy will lead to problems in discipline. A child who lacks discipline will be a source of worry for his parents when he grows up. However, today's society emphasizes love education and places more emphasis on the free development of children, so the concept of discipline is also more important.
