Parenting: Parenting is the Best Gift for Children

I went to a friend's house for dinner, and I saw her second-grade daughter say loudly at the table, "Mom, you're so stupid, your fried food is awful, I don't want to eat it! I was surprised that a child could talk to her mom like that. I was even more surprised that my friend didn't get angry and said, "Which dish? Which dish are you talking about?" I couldn't help it when I saw my child's bossy behavior, so I told her while I was washing the dishes that children shouldn't be indulged, but to my surprise, she had a lot of grievances and said that she, too, had a problem with it.

A Word from the Director - Bright October and a Little Bit of Good Fortune

In the old days, when there was no second day off, people used to talk about the glorious month of October. There were National Day, Taiwan Restoration Day, and the anniversary of the birthday of the late President Chiang Kai-shek, etc. In addition to the commemorative significance, people were usually very busy, and once October came, they were given some extra vacation days, and so everyone was happy to see the arrival of October. As I recall, when the Double Ten National Day arrived, the national flag was hoisted in every house, and kindergartens would organize celebrations the day before, preparing a national flag for each child and playing the role of each country.
