Message from the Director

Recently, a campus bullying incident at a junior high school in Taoyuan was exposed, and the principal was dismissed by a coalition of teachers, making front-page news in the media, and once again arousing public concern. The Minister of Education, out of concern, went to the school to understand and encourage the teachers and students, but was blamed for describing the incident as a "trivial matter". All kinds of problems, like a food chain, are interlocked, from students-teachers-principal-minister, in the end, what has gone wrong with our education? I still remember the professional knowledge of school principals organized by the Education Bureau many years ago.

"Parenting - Planting the Seeds of Happiness by Wang Xiuyuan

It's still dawn, and there are already queues of people lining up at the entrance of the department store where the New Year's Eve celebrations are held. The moment the doors open, the queue of people suddenly wakes up and moves quickly. As if there is no tomorrow, the cash registers can't stop gulping down the colorful bills. The people, whose sanity is gradually breaking down, wish they had more arms to carry the bags of "loot". If one could look into the minds of these people, one would realize that they are like the rats in the Olds labs of the 1950s.

Message from the Director

The wheel of time keeps on turning, and before we know it, it is the end of the year. The weather in early winter in December is sometimes cold, sometimes hot, and there is a big difference in temperature between morning, noon and night. For office workers and students who go to work early and come home late, they must pay special attention to dress appropriately so that they will not be exposed to the wind and cold, and will not be too hot in the middle of the day. For kindergarteners, parents usually decide what to wear. Long sleeves and a jacket? Thin or thick? Especially when the weather changes, many children will wear thick clothes.

"Parenting" Creating Shared Memories is Beautiful by Wendy Chao

In July, the whole family participated in a lantern-making workshop, where we divided up the work and worked together! In order to find a suitable cloth for the theme, we spent three nights walking around the streets and finally found a suitable substitute; when we were tying the sash, our hands almost got blisters, and when our work was finished at the last minute, we were all very tired, but we were inexplicably excited, because apart from the artwork itself, the hope and trust of the whole family had been incorporated into the artwork.

Through the making of the Thanksgiving Card, many words of thanks were spoken by the children and recorded by their parents. Through the making of the thank-you cards, we can see parents' gratitude to the kindergarten - Zi Ling's mom, "Thank you, Renhe Kindergarten, for having so many excellent teachers and rich teaching resources!

"Parenting" The Competitiveness of Environmental Changes by Lee Wai-Man

Over the years, countries all over the world have been reviewing and adjusting their respective education contents and systems, but it seems that no definite answer can be found. I think it is probably because we are now in a complex, high-speed, cross-border era of experimentation, with no regulations to follow and no precedents to guide us. The rapid changes in this environment are the main source of anxiety for parents. Perhaps, as the British historian Hobbesbun said, "If mankind is to have a clear vision of the future, it will never be a clear vision of the future.
